Nací en Chile y viví muchos años en México, donde estudié Diseño industrial, Periodismo y donde surgió mi interés por la cinematografía.
Terminé mis estudios de cine en Chile y realicé talleres de especialización en Estados Unidos y España.
Pertenezco a la generación de cinefotógrafos que transitó desde el fílmico al digital. Del grano al pixel.
Me interesa el oficio desde su perspectiva técnica, pero más aún desde sus posibilidades artísticas.
Considero que la Dirección de Fotografía tiene una perspectiva autoral, y por tanto me motivan la exploración en técnicas y lenguajes del cine, sus posibilidades estéticas.

I was born in Chile, and for many years I used to live in México, where I studied Industrial Design and Journalism. México was also the place where my interest in cinematography emerged. I did my university film studies in Chile and went to the United States and Spain in order to take advanced cinematography and ligthting technics workshops.
I consider myself part of a generation of cinematographers that made the transition from film to digital. From the grain to the pixel. As Director of Photography I hold an interest in the technical perspective, but beyond that, I have always been captivated by its artistic potential. It is my belief that a Director of Photography ought to own an authorial perspective and develop a particular voice. All of the above, constantly drive me to explore new film language, techniques, and its aesthetic possibilities. Member of the Chilean Society of Cinematography, A.C.C
